The core interest of my artistic practice concerns identity. My work deals with aspects connected to our existence; how our life is defined and formed by our time. During my master project, I have been working with aspects, such as identity, loss and memories.

Be(longing) is the title of my master project that I carried out in 2012 at Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts and Design, in Stockholm. The word “belonging” has different meanings depending on how the word is divided. It relates to aspects as existences, longings, belonging and belongings.

“Inherited” which is shown at “Window 107” in Istedgade, is a piece from the installation Be(longing). “Inherited” consists of cardboard boxes made out of MDF board, which contains a complete tableware, that belonged to my family through three generations. As I inherited it from my grandmother, this tableware has a special meaning to me, even though it has been hidden in the storage since 1989.
